Collaboration: measuring trust around referral & paracetamol provision interventions

In Sindh, Pakistan, Impetus is currently leading two innovative trust-centered interventions that are being implemented in high-priority areas of Karachi to improve immunization coverage through the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI). The first targets zero-dose children through partnerships with private health providers and traditional birth attendants, while the second addresses post-vaccination concerns by providing paracetamol and educational materials to reduce dropout rates for multi-dose vaccines.

We’re currently working with Impetus to measure how both interventions affect caregiver trust—both in vaccines and in the health system more broadly.

Collaboration: measuring trust around vaccinator training

The Mukhtari Project is an innovative initiative designed to enhance the well-being, emotional resilience, and technical capacity of vaccinators serving high-risk communities in Malir, Sindh, Pakistan, led by the Centre for Arts-based Methodologies & Wellbeing (CFAW).

We’re working with CFAW to concretely measure the trust impact of the Mukhtari project – on the vaccinators involved, and on the communities they serve. Stay tuned as we work towards defining the impact of this exciting intervention.

Using Trust to Reach Zero Dose Families

The Vaccine Trust Team had the pleasure of joining Gates Foundation stakeholders and teams from around the world as they discussed their work to reach zero-dose families. The Zero Dose Learning Agenda (ZDLA) brings together partners who are actively experimenting with different ways of reaching those who are currently missed or under-vaccinated. Working across a diverse range of contexts, the ZDLA teams have done deep research and designed interventions with and for communities – ranging from outreach to parents, to HCW training – which are now being implemented.

Using the Trust Survey to Prepare for HPV Rollout

With Gavi funding, Jhpiego are supporting government and civil society partners in Pakistan in developing a roadmap for the prevention of cervical cancer and introduction of the HPV vaccine.

ReD has supported this effort in various ways including the provision of survey questions and the development of a data-packet which highlighted important trust gaps when it comes to HPV-vaccine perception.
